The moment I pick up a brush, my feelings about the world in which we live flow through my mind and are transferred onto my canvas.
It’s a process, the feeling of a moment, a color mixture, a pattern, my acrylics and mixed media filling the canvas, creating the first layer from that momentary feeling.
And then, a second layer emerges, and on and on until the canvas speaks to me and says...............I feel that moment too.
I graduated from the University of Georgia with an Art and Interior design degree. In addition to decorating many homes and businesses during my career, raising three wonderful kids, and moving around the country with my military husband, I always found time to be creative.
For over 10 years I have been painting whimsical, abstract and nature inspired art. I am currently a member in the Lahaina Arts Society in Maui, Hawaii and my art is on display and available for purchase in the Banyan Tree Gallery.
I enjoy painting with acrylic, watercolor, collage papers and inks.
